These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Clarity mobile application (“App”), operated by Clarity (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Clarity is an AI-powered educational application designed to help students understand academic concepts through step-by-step explanations aligned with Indian school curricula (NCERT / CBSE, ICSE, and State Boards).

Clarity functions as an after-school learning aid and does not replace formal schooling, teachers, or professional education.

2. Eligibility

• Clarity is intended for users aged 9 years and above.
• Users under 18 should use the App with parental awareness.
• By using the App, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, users may be required to create an account.

• Provide accurate and current information
• Maintain confidentiality of login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

Clarity is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by user negligence.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use Clarity for cheating or academic dishonesty
• Submit AI-generated answers as your own work
• Use the App for unlawful or harmful purposes
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit the App or its services
• Upload offensive, inappropriate, or non-academic content

Clarity reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• Clarity uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations
• AI responses are intended to support learning and understanding
• Explanations may not always be perfect or error-free
• Users should verify information with textbooks or teachers

Clarity does not guarantee academic results, grades, or exam performance.

6. Educational Disclaimer

Clarity:

• Does not replace teachers, schools, or coaching institutes
• Does not guarantee exam success or marks
• Is meant to assist learning, not substitute formal instruction

Use of Clarity is at the user’s own discretion and responsibility.

7. Subscriptions & Payments

Clarity offers an optional paid subscription called Clarity Pro.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Google Play Billing
• Prices are clearly displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Users can cancel anytime via Google Play Store settings
• No refunds for partially used periods (as per Google Play policy)

Clarity does not store payment card information.

8. Advertisements

• Free users may see advertisements
• Ads may include banner or rewarded ads
• Paid subscribers do not see ads
• Ads are provided by third-party ad networks

Clarity is not responsible for third-party ad content.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, text, designs, graphics, and AI workflows in Clarity are the intellectual property of Clarity unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use Clarity branding without permission.

10. User Content

By submitting questions, images, or text, you confirm that:

• You have the right to share the content
• The content is academic in nature
• The content does not violate any laws or rights

Clarity may process this content temporarily to provide explanations.

11. Account Termination

Clarity reserves the right to:

• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Restrict access in case of misuse

Users may delete their accounts at any time by contacting support.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Clarity is not liable for academic outcomes or exam results
• Clarity is not responsible for reliance on AI-generated content
• Clarity is not liable for indirect or consequential damages

Use of the App is at your own risk.

13. Changes to the App or Terms

Clarity may update features or modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to Indian courts.
